We are on our way to the Black Forest then on to Lucerne Switzerland. The houses is in a black forest are quite unique with many flowerbeds and gardens in the windows. I think this part of the trip was what excited me the most. I remember our trips in to the Black Forest area as a child and seeing all the wonderful wooden toys. I wanted to get some, as gifts and for myself.
We were told we would have an hour to shop and as we drove through many towns, many with multiple shops, we kept going and going. We did stop, eventually for lunch and a shopping break. It was a roadside stand! The store reminded me of a Stuckey‘s. It was a single shop not even in town or village. The prices were inflated and the stock was not all that varied (mass produced). They even had a “nut-roll”. They also boasted to having the worlds largest coo-coo clock. It looked like a tourist trap and I was highly disappointed. I planned on talking to Laslo later. On the bright side, we did take a walk through a small village just up the road with Chris and Chad.
We arrived in Switzerland and took a trip up Mount Polatis us it has the steepest cogwheel train in the world that 48° the view of the Swiss Alps is stunning and all inspiring.I’m still a little miffed about the black for shopping. I did talk to Laszlo and he assured me we would have time tomorrow since this was a two night stop. I think he missed the point.
